I suck at blogging!!

It was much easier to blog when I wasn't working. Maybe I should give up my day job?!? Anyway, after working all day and taking care of the Potamous at night there really isn't any time left.

So here is a short update over my lunch hour. Sophie is so wonderful. Here is a picture of her this morning (sorry for the poor quality, it is from my phone). She is the best in the morning, very unlike her mother.

She is rolling over (back to front) like a champ, however we have not learned how to roll from our stomach to our back yet. This makes for a very cranky little girl that needs to be turned over constantly. Other than that we are doing great. I will update soon with pictures from our first Halloween.
By the way, holidays are so much more fun with a kid (even if she has no idea what is going on, I am loving that we get to go Trick or Treating!!)
P.S. What kind of mother uses the word suck in a header? I obviously have no idea what I am doing.

5 Thinks I love but don't want to

Because of Jamie's wishes I will continue this post. Here are 5 things I love, but don't want to. Surprisingly, have a lot of the same ones as Jamie.

1. Hen House

This goes along the same lines as Target. I know that I should go to the less expensive store, but I just love this little market. I know that your produce is almost twice as much as Walmart, but I just can't help myself.

2. Teen Movies

Basically any movie that has some sappy ending or a little dancing in it does it for me. I am so excited that someday I am going to be forced to watch these with my daughter (her Dad is going to love this). Confession: Just last night I watched a Cinderella Story with Hillary Duff, I am so pathetic.

3. QuickTrip

I don't know what it is about this place that sets it apart from every other gas station, but it is like an oasis on a barren desert. A diet coke just taste better with a plastic cup and crushed ice. Plus their people are so friendly, I love it!! I will drive out of my way to get there. This also goes into my love of diet coke and how I really can't live without it. This was highlighted when I wasn't allowed the stuff for 10 months while I was pregnant (stupid doctors and their no caffeine!!)

4. Baby Clothes

This is a recent one (obviously), but I just can't help it. Whenever I go somewhere I have to look for something for my little one. I don't think I have left a Target/Walmart/Baby Gap without getting at least a onsie. Yes I know she will grow out of it in a week, but I would hate for her to go without a new outfit.

5. Food Network
I love this channel, I don't know what it is but I love watching other people cook. My all time favorite is Good Eats with Alton Brown. I think it is because it takes me back to Bill Nye the Science Guy. But his use of science is mesmerizing. A close second is Dinners Drive Ins and Dives, I would love to do a road trip to check out some of these places. Anyone in?

Notable mentions: Twilight (can not wait till Nov. 20th, however I hate Kristen Stewart - she is no Bella), Blogs (I love living my friends life's through their blogs), and Chocolate (this really is a major one, I can't go a day without it).

Identity Crisis

Many of you know that while I was pregnant I was absolutely positive that I was having a boy. During this time Andy and I picked out a name and were planning the little one's future football career. My poor baby girl was called Owen for a substantial part of early development.

Jump ahead to today and I obviously have not recovered from the initial shock of having a girl.

Jen, my good friend at work, gave me some baby clothes that her son Noah had grown out of. Of course we tried to pick out the most gender neutral options. However, I just love this footie onesie an I can't find anything else that fits her this well. So, she will continue to sleep in this every night until she grows out of it. I am such a mean mom.

It doesn't help the fact that everything she owns is either green or brown. I have come to the point that when someone comments on what a cute son I have, I just smile and agree with them.
Someday she is going to grow enough hair that I can finally put a bow on her head, but until that day she will just be my darling little Owena.

And if you made it all the way to the end of this silly post, here is a few shout outs. To Jamie and Emily for always keeping me entertained. Jana you get one too, although you never blog anymore. Finally, Meg if you are reading this, please start your own. I know you have many fun stories that you need to share with the world. It was great to see you all last night. XOXOXOXO

Bonus picture of my little gansta in her workout suit. She was nice and toasty warm this morning.
